On hot days, it will get warm but not enough to not be able to walk on it. It can be cooled down by spraying it with water as needed.
Artificial turf melts at about 175-200°F. It is not recommended to use barbecues, fire pits and open flames directly on artificial turf or to pour boiling water on the turf surface. It is recommended that before installing artificial turf near double-paned windows and doors, a window screen or a reflection filter film be applied to the windows to protect the artificial turf from reflection damage. The reflection of the sun on vinyl fences may cause artificial grass melting. To prevent artificial grass melting due to the reflection of the sunlight on the turf, it is recommended to leave a few garden feet parallel to the vinyl structure so that the reflection of the sun shines on the ground, mulch, or decorative stones, and not directly on the
artificial turf. Other surfaces like decorative mirrors, and shiny toys, could reflect enough heat to damage your turf. It’s a good idea to store shiny toys inside after using them to prevent artificial grass melting.
Artificial turf drastically reduces the presence of insects.
To avoid any unwanted smells, areas must be periodically rinse with artificial grass disinfectant or non-abbrasive detergents. Deodorizing infill is highly recommended.
